As part of the Academy - Sector Meetings organized by the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema at Başkent University Faculty of Communication, the first session of the Photography Workshop series with Can Gazialem was held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Prof. Dr. Abdullah Demirtaş Conference Hall.

During the event, Can Gazialem shared his journey starting from the Lubitel camera, the very camera with which his first photograph was taken and from which he learned the art of photography. He presented both his personal story and the evolution of photography within a historical context. The conversation spanned from the enduring and timeless mysteries of universal images since the early years of photography?s invention to the unique techniques of both analog and digital photography. The event concluded with the screening of Can Gazialem?s documentary photography project titled "Üzülmez" and a discussion about the project.
