As the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema at Başkent University Faculty of Communication, we hosted the online event titled “The Journey of the Image from Literature to Cinema with Tuğba Çelik” on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 1:30 PM via Zoom.

The event featured writer and academic Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuğba Çelik Korat, moderated by Dr. Aslı Şahinkaya Ermiş. During the event, a profound discussion was held with participants on various aspects of the image, the ways different art forms interpret it, fidelity to the essence of the image in adaptation, and the role of meaning as a carrier element in the power struggle between the writer and the director.
