As the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema at Başkent University’s Faculty of Communication, we were pleased to host Editing Workshop with Inturlam Production’s Creative Director Berkant Ermiş on Friday, November 1, 2024, in the Prof. Dr. Abdullah Demirtaş Conference Hall.

This workshop, organized as part of Dr. Aslı Şahinkaya Ermiş’s Fundamentals of Editing course, provided participants with an opportunity to experience fundamental editing techniques and principles through hands-on practice. Supported by rich content related to the media sector, the event covered topics such as the function of editing, the importance of maintaining relevance in digital media dynamics, media management, employment opportunities in the industry, the role of communication skills in professional and client relations, the steps from concept to edit in the filming process, and techniques for processing visuals, sound, color, and text. Professional tips and creative approaches to the editing process were also shared with participants.
