The Green Campus Public Service Announcement Competition, organized by the Sustainable Environmental Practice and Research Center (BÜÇEM) at Başkent University, was first held in 2016. The Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema supports this competition annually. In this year's competition, which involves student participation, Prof. Dr. Özcan Yağcı, Dean of the Faculty of Communication, and Prof. Dr. Hale Künüçen, Head of the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, served as jury members.

Additionally, students from the department are encouraged to participate in the public service announcement competition organized for awareness purposes, and they receive the necessary support to develop their projects. In 2019, a public service announcement created by Radio, Television, and Cinema student Arda Akçay was awarded second place. The department continues to contribute to this event.
